This site is NOT to re-invent the wheel but to help newcomers to Radio Controlled Flying.

The site is in its early stages of building and will grow over time with useful information and links to those that are interested in this sport and how to get into it the right way and at a level that won’t cost you a fortune and turn you away.

There are many traps that new flyers can fall into.

  • Not knowing where to go to get the right information
  • Buying your first plane.
  • What type of flying am I interested in?
  • How hard is it to fly different types of planes...? Powered,Electric,Slope,Park Flyers,Heli's and hybrids of this short list
  • Buying your first Transmitter choosing the channels and the frequency band be it 36 MHz or 2.4 GHz
  • What brands of transmitter / receiver
  • Adding the rest of the items you will be face with depending on the flying category you are looking at.
  • ARF " Almost Ready to Fly"
  • RTF " Ready to Fly" in some cases come complete with a Transmitter and Receiver
  • This list can go on and on depending a lot of variations  in the area you are looking at flying in. so read on for the different section in there basic form.
The is also a little hint  here: about a lost model alarm it is called the "Loc8tor".. try the eBay link set to this product.. you can also use the search box for other eBay items

or go directly to their site www.loc8tor.com

One of the things to do first is to join

the forums of various interest groups.. These are a very useful and a way of getting information from the internet with the least amount of time and money wasted.

This forum would be a start, you will have to register to gain access to our forums , as yet it is still new,and there is little to help you at this stage but we can still help giude you in the right direction.

RC Groups would be one of the largest but you may find it a little confusing at first if you not a regular forum user this link takes you to the Australian section. However there is still a lot of information on the Whole forum at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/index.php
